The Solway Yacht Club, situated at Kippford in South West Scotland, is pleased to host the Flying Fifteen Scottish Championships in 2016.
Established in 1904, the club offers competitors an opportunity for sea sailing in an area of outstanding natural beauty, its traditional towns and villages, rugged cliffs, islands and inlets with secluded beaches are a delight.
Many sailors and their families from all parts of the UK come and compete in our open event, Kippford Week, held in early August, it has become an annual holiday.
For a number of years the Club has hosted the National 12 Class GUL Series Open which Incorporates the Scottish Championship. Their competitors have a great time, as one participant wrote after the 2015 event 'Thanks to all at Solway Sailing Club for a great day's sailing. See you next year.'

HOW TO FIND US
Kippford lies to the south of Dalbeattie along the A710. From the west, follow the A745 and then the A711 from Castle Douglas to the boundary of Dalbeattie.
From the north, follow the A711 from Dumfries until the far end of Dalbeattie.
For both, now take the A710, which is signposted "Solway Coast". Follow this road for around 3 miles and then turn right at a sign for Kippford (also mentions sailing and golf).
The clubhouse is just before the foot of the hill on the left and the boat park is on the right just round a sharp left.
