This year the annual Maryport Trawler Race is being supported by Maryport Yachting Association who will be hosting the first annual

'Solway Yacht Race'

The race is open to everyone and a great weekend is planned

Safety Boat Drivers and Crew

The Club would like to prepare a database of SYC members who are willing, at some point in the season, to assist in Safety Boat and Rescue duties.

Would any members willing to be included on the database, please e-mail Julian.Stanning bosun@thesyc.co.uk . Please include a note as to any relevant qualifications: PB2, Safety Boat, First Aid. These are not essential but it will be helpful to have a record and courses will be offered during the year. The first Power Boat Training has already been advertised (10&11 March) and it is also proposed to that the club will pay for a Safety Boat course at Loch Ken for suitable candidates who are willing, in return, to offer 5 days safety boat duty (in Cadet Week, or Kippford Week, or days spread over club-racing weekends).

SYC Club Clothing
We now have a new small stock of clothing embroidered with the club logo. We can take orders if we don't have your size/colour. We can also order hoody's in various colours with club logo embroidered on the front and if you want your name/boat name printed on back.

Please email the Hon. Secretary if you would like to order or if you would like more details - we will try and get them for/during Cadet Week. Child sizes go up to age 12/13yrs.
