Cadet and Kippford Weeks 2010
Cadet Week 26 - 30 July
Regatta 8 August | Kippford Week 9 - 13 August

Bar Volunteers needed for - Cadet Week and Kippford Week

The new Scottish licensing regulations dictate that anyone wishing to help behind the bar must have some training. If you are interested please email the Hon. Secretaryand a training pack will be sent to you or you can collect it from the briefing meeting at either Cadet or Kippford Week. The club must keep a record of all members trained.

Cadet Week - Request for Donation of Raffle Prizes

The Cadet Week Committee would welcome the donation of prizes for a raffle to be held at the briefing at 1745 on Sunday 25th July.
This raffle is used to raise money to enable the Cadet Captains to buy prizes and gifts by which to acknowledge the achievements and contributions of all the young people participating, whether racing or training. It makes a huge contribution to the camaraderie of the week.

Kippford circa 1908/9

This interesting set of photographs was taken by Mr John Hume whilst on holiday in Kippford about 1908/9 - he died in 1923. They are of very good quality for photography of that time and have been given to the Club (through Gordon Daly) so that members can view them.

The Solway Yacht Club offers a cordial invitation to visiting sailors

However, Kippford is not really a suitable berthing area for Fin Keelers. View the Visit Us page for more details.
